The Parliamentary Development Institute held a discussion session on the impact of legislation on achieving food safety in Iraq. Dr. Zaid Akram Thabet, a teacher at the Biotechnology Research Center in Al-nahrain university, addressed the problems of legislation related to food safety, followed by suggested solutions. The session was held in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker, Minister of Agriculture, representatives of the Ministry of Health, representatives of the Ministry of Trade, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control. Federation of Iraqi Industries and Baghdad Chamber of Commerce. The attendees supported what Dr. Zaid presented in his study prepared during the course in which he participated in Wageningen University in the Netherlands last March as part of the Dutch government scholarship.
