A research team of Forensic DNA for Research and Training Center in Al-Nahrain University publishes a scientific research on Automatic Irrigation System Based on Computer Vision and an Artificial Intelligence Technique Using Raspberry Pi
The team includes Asst.Instr.Munir Muhammad Oudah,Asst.Instr. Thooalnoon Ynis Salah,Asst.Prof.Dr. Dhuha Salem Namaa and Prof.Dr.Ali Abd Al-Alah from Middle Technical University , Engineering Technical College in cooperation with the researcher Javaan Chahl from University of South Australia and this research is published in the international journal Automation.
The research aims for presenting a smart irrigation system based on artificial intelligence and computer vision using Raspberry Pi to reduce water waste which results from traditional irrigation method that provides a sustainable and smart solution by presenting a new approach for an automated irrigation system depending on a non-contact computer vision to enhance the irrigation process and reduce the need for human intervention which helps improve the efficiency of water using and reduce wasting.
